RTD : WIRING & COLOR CODE

RTD : WIRING AND COLOR CODE

Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) or Resistance thermometers, are sensors used to measure temperature. Many RTD sensors consist of a length of fine wire wrapped around a ceramic or glass core but other constructions are also used. The RTD wire is a pure material, typically platinum, nickel or copper.
In the case of RTDs wiring is a very vital issue. The wires has also their won color codes that refers some special meaning.

Here, The chart of RTD wiring according to International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC 60751
